Pineapple Margarita

Long Overdue Delivery: Pasta Talk

I’ve realized that the last Delivery Adventure I had was three long months ago. I’ve been so caught up in trying to get back out to Happy Hours at restaurants that it’s been a while since I’ve had something delivered. Don’t get me wrong I much prefer going out and trying new places and meeting people. However, sometimes it’s good to take it easy and stay at home with a drink in hand and delicious food.

This Adventure was for one of my team lunches at work! I may just now be writing about this Adventure since I’ve been behind on writing since I haven’t been feeling 100% recently. This Adventure was fun because for this team lunch it was a baby shower for one of my coworker’s going on maternity leave. It was nice to play some games and catch up before she headed out. One tends to work up appetite playing games so I went with Pasta Talk for this Adventure.

Garlic Parmesan Wings

First up are the garlic parmesan wings! I was super excited about biting into these wings because who doesn’t enjoy cheese and garlic. However, these wings were not that enjoyable. They lacked any flavor and were pretty dry on the outside since there was no sauce to be found. I see just a little bit of parmesan cheese dusting across the wings. The only saving grace was the little speckles of fried garlic spotted all around. If I were to say it now these may have been the worst wings I’ve had on all my adventures thus far.

Meatballs and Red Sauce

Don’t worry, even if the wings were bad there was one food item that helps make this Adventure worthwhile. This place is called Pasta Talk yet I did not order any pasta whatsoever. However, I did get something that can typically be found on top of pasta, meatballs with red sauce.

This serving had three giant beef meatballs that were flavored with Italian seasonings and most importantly garlic. There was also a small covering of Parmesan cheese blanketing a part of the meatballs. It was the sauce that made these meatballs so delectable. The sauce was tangy and I couldn’t help but scoop up as much of the sauce as I could. Which unfortunately there was no bread to do so with even though they said it would be served with garlic parmesan bread.

Highend Ingredients

I decided I would give another go at creating a pineapple margarita again later that day. Although I think I’ll call this one a Highend Pineapple Margarita given the fact that I’m using some high-quality ingredients! I’m using Cointreau which is notorious for being expensive, Don Romeo which is a nice Blanco tequila, and some organic blue agave syrup. Then just some lime juice and pineapple juice that is nothing special but necessary for the drink.

Highend Pineapple Margarita

  • 2 oz Tequila
  • 1 oz Cointreau
  • 1.5 oz lime juice
  • 0.5 oz pineapple juice
  • 0.25 oz agave syrup
Highend Pineapple Margarita

I do have to say this Highend Pineapple Margarita was just perfect! It was refreshing from the pineapple juice. The lime juice gave it some nice citrusy zest. The Cointreau added the sweetness and some orange flavor notes. Then of course the tequila and agave syrup combo helped accentuate the agave notes altogether making for one delicious margarita. I would make this again for a party.

I had also ordered the Pizza Bread to share for this Adventure but unfortunately, they had run out of ingredients for it so I was unable to get that. That’s why when there was no bread with the meatballs I was kind of disappointed. But in the end, it was a great time having food and catching up with people from work virtually.
